  1. Hi Team! This is Salim and I know a good strategy to help us solve this investigation. We can use the Info, What, Show and State strategy that Ms. T taught us. We use this strategy to solve different math problems from the textbook and it has really helped lots of us in the class to break down the math question to make it easier to understand what we know and need to do.

  2. Hi team, it's Shea. Some strategies that might work to solve this question is to first make an input / output to help use break the question down. I think this could maybe work.

  3. I think it was very cool how we did the input/output machines and when we took it up on the board I got it easier to under stand. Go to unit 1, lesson 1 on page 6-9 that could help us a lot. Qayyum

  4. Hi Team!! This is Gloria. Math is not my favourite subject but I did learn a little bit of new strategies. We could use the math textbook for help. I will try my best.

  5. That sounds good Shea but with this activity it might not work well. We could try to use it and see what happens. Did you mean an input/output machine before we use that. We should check examples from our notebooks for help. Salim

  6. Hi team this is ravi. I think this question relates to probability which means we can use our math textbook to refer to for clarification.

  7. Another strategy I found that was really helpful was the pictures, numbers, and words strategy because it represents your thinking in various ways and helps you to see the question from different perspectives. Ravi

  8. One last strategy I found was a common strategy that could potentially help us which is using your prior knowledge [schema] to jog your memory which could help us solve this math investigation problem. Ravi

  9. That is a good strategy Ravi. I don't know how it is a strategy for math but we could try it and see how it works. Salim

  10. Shea's idea is cool! We could do that, but if that didn't work, we could do the mean.Gloria

  11. qayyum I really like math and how salim said it could work. But I think maybe you probably have to use something different and make jot notes so it can help you a bit better and maybe reading over it again can help to. QAYYUM.

  12. I think that we are posting great strategizes some might work and some might not. I think that we should just choose about two or three to use in are in class discussion. When we do in class discussion we should have the math text book in front of us so we could refer to it for help. Salim

  13. i like show what you know pg 160-161

  14. It might help us if we get a dice and roll it to see how much times its going to land on that number. I think that we did a lesson like this in the text book. If not we should still use the dice idea. Since there are 6 different numbers on a dice and there are six numbers on the list, we would have to make are on dice because there are two 2. Salim

  15. As Gloria said earlier, we could find a way to use mean or mode like we did during the bowling assignment (in term 1) to find answers in a different way. Shea

  16. We could also figure out how many times it would land on 2 if we rolled it mayber 4 times to break it down. Shea

  17. I like that idea Shea but after we rolled it about 4 times we might have to divide that number. I don’t know if that will help or not, but we could just role it. I think that was a good strategy Shea but I think that we should role it more times just to make sure. Salim

  18. I like that idea of using the mean and mode Gloria. I think that Shea is right, that we should use that to help us. When we did that on the ( bowling project) I didn’t know how that would work. I believe that this strategy will help us to concur the question. Salim

  19. gloria that is relly good idea but how salim
said the mean and mode can help us.i my self
think that is a relly good idea.qayyum

  20. I think that it is a good idea Gloria but we should have a back up idea to help us. We should narrow down to 3 strategies to help us solve the question. Salim

  21. Ravi when you said to us schema did you mean are prior knowledge. Because for this question we could us fractions. I think that we did fractions in the 1st or 2nd term. We should refer to that lesson in the text book. I think that this will help us to do this question. Salim

  22. For this question we might have to multiply divide and more. I think that we should do 2 divide by 6 because the number 2 is there twice and there is 6 numbers so we should try to do 114 divided by 3 and see what it gives us. Salim

  23. the strateges is you could use multiplicaion and divide.also info, what, show, state.bobbie

  24. Thanks Bobbie for the great strategy for this problem. We were thinking about using that strategy to solve this question. In the end we choose to not to us info, what, show and state. We figured out that the info, what, show and state was not a great away to show are question. In they end we tried out different was to solve this question. Then we choose the one that suited it the best. Salim
